Did anyone else watch the 10pm news last night?  At the top of the show they had a reporter holding a cat and the cat started growling and making mad noices and all of a sudden the cat started going off on the reporter.  The cat latched her claws to the reporters face.  The reporter after it was over jus looked into the camera like a deer in headlights, like she was like what was that and what do i do now!!  I know I shouldn't laugh but when a cat starts to growl and make noises like that she should have put it down!!  I do hope that she was ok though.

I saw that! I feel so bad for Kathleen! She is not familiar with cats and even said she is not a cat person. Therefore, she probably had no idea that when a cat is making those kinds of noises you want to let them go ASAP! It's things like that that lead to a life long fear of cats. My step-mom and mother-in-law both do not like and are scared of cats. Of course when they come over, my 2 kitties want to bother them. I think cats can sense that people are uncomfortable around them and that makes them act even worse! I hope Kathleen is ok and that she didn't get scratched too bad. I would be very shaken up if a cat went at my face like that too! How ironic that it happened just as they went live! Maybe the kitty was camera shy???

You would think that even someone not so familiar with cats, would know what that noise meant.

That cat was not "having fun"! This news clip has been posted by people all over "you tube's" website.

I feel sorry for her!

Well like I posted in the another blog about this...
I feel bad for the cat and hopefully this doesn't ruin it's chance to be adopted out, or gets put down.
Plus the way I seen it she was the one doing the abusing. You can't hold and squeeze a cat like that while jerking it up and down, back and forth. The cat tried the only way it knew to tell her to stop. She didn't listen and kept it up. I don't see how she didn't know the cat didn't like it. I mean squirming, growling, hissing etc. It was pretty darn clear that cat wasn't happy. I just really hope she leaves cats and all other animals alone from now on.

I saw that as well. I was cringing as I heard that cat start to get agitated and just knew what was going to happen. I even told my husband, right before the cat actually did attack her thta this was not going to be good. I was hoping she would have been smart enough once the cat started yowling to put it down. Unfortunately, she did not! My jaw dropped and I was utterly horrified when this happened to the poor woman! I am a cat lover and have had a run in with a feral cat that attached herself to my head - hurts like heck and is very scary by itself, let alone being broadcast on live tv!! I hope both of them are all right!!

My mom stayed up til I got home just to show me. As a former cat owner I know that those claws hurt. It was still funny and everytime I think about it I chuckle to myself. That was great!! Feel bad for her though how embarrassing
