Your comment says it all. What ever did happen? Maybe if more parents were parents, and not trying to be their childs friend, others would not have to step in and do the job for them.

heres a simple answer. if you child came forth to you and told you up front at the ages of 11 and 12. he/she tells you that they been having sex around school.

the kids are getting younger and doing sex acts onto eachother. have a school to step in and help the children out.

Mars - I understand the point of helping the children. My point was, my parents did their job and taught me better than that. Why aren't other parents doing their job? Sex is one of the biggest parts of parenting. If a child is having sex in middle school, the parents aren't 'parenting'. We only learn what we are taught. But thank you for your response.

What in the H_ll do you expect kids to do. First, the Government stepped in and took over all of the Education, that we thought we were running. They then stopped the Pledge, Prayer, Respect, Honor and above all else, self-respect and self-discipline. Next, they took away the rights of Parents, no corporal punishment anywhere, anytime. Now, go turn on the TV or you're computer, what is on it? The list is endless, so let's blame the KIDS and The PARENTS! Get The GOVERNMENT out of our lives. What example do any politicians set that is good for KIDS? Stealing, Swearing, Drunks, Dopers, Pedophiles, Whore Mongers, Toilet Sitters (CRAIG) this list is endless too. They now want to show Kindergartners Sex tapes, we must teach Homosexuality, alternative life styles and yet the so called Experts tell us that what our Children see at home has a direct bearing on them and their LIFE choices! I give up.

hdrider: I totally agree but it is also the parents to blame. How many parents keep what you described out of there home? Not many. How many let there kids have computers in there room? Or think they are all knowing what they are doing when it comes to the internet? How many parents let there children watch just about anything or listen to just about anything. If parents would keep trash from getting in there home at least some of this problem that you described would be minimized. But for the parents who actually do try to do this is fighting a loosing battle because most if not all there childrens friends are aloud. So they just go there. Also the public library is a huge promoter of trash. Your child at any age can do anything on a library computer. They will not monitor the children. So you need to sit in the chair next to them when they claim they have to go to the library to do home work. Because guess what? They also know this. Parenting is hard and most parents just give up and give in. Sad but true.

Children aren't thinking about sex at 11 or 12 years old unless it's taught or allowed to be shown or taught. The parents aren't teaching respect and self-respect. The government can't take that away. My parents didn't have to use corporal punishment to teach me not to have sex at 11 & 12 years old. As far as the tv and computer, that's where, once again, parenting comes into play. I know it's a tough job, but if the parents can't do it, then don't have children.

Some teenagers like myself aren't using it for that reason, it's for period control. Im not having sex nor am ready but I do take birth control. Yes its working for that reason but also helps my menstrual cycle. Thats the reason I take it & Im 14.

Werner - That wasn't necessary. You're showing your age and your ass. I'm not sure why you think you're so above anyone else on this site to make such a belittling comment. Oh, sorry, is that word too big for you?

I am the director and a volunteer of Community Animal Task Force - www.CATforce.org. Our mission is to minimize the breeding and find homes for strays, displaced and discarded animals by forging the cost of spaying, neutering and annual vaccinations for those on low or fixed income. The elder generation benefit immensely from having a pet but often can't afford the medical costs associated with proper, responsible care. If you find that your company can help by sponsoring a home for a homeless animal, please contact me. Lifetime costs for cats are only about $1600 or less, dogs are about $1700. This is LIFETIME cost. Thank you for caring.
