I , for one, am really sorry to see Casey leave. He has played anywhere that he was told to play, always hustled and he was athletic enough to get the job done. He is the type of player that I love to watch play. In Casey and C.C , we have lost two great clubhouse influences. Trades are part of baseball, just like going where the money is. I hope that the Dodgers appreciate the person, as well as the player, that they are getting.  And I feel good for both Casey and C.C.  If their teams make the playoffs, it's a safe bet that they will have played a major part.  After all, C.C. is 4 wins in 4 starts and Casey has already had a single, a double and scored a run.

I have lived in Northeastern Ohio all my life and in Kent for the past 20 years. I follow all the Cleveland professional teams, but the Indians are definitely my favorite. On the college level, I root for Kent State(my alma mater), Purdue and Miami of Ohio. I have been retired from teaching since 2004 and my wife, Sue(another KSU grad) and the Shih-Tzu-in-Charge, Wickett, enjoy Ohio from April through December and then go somewhere warm for the winter. Note: The picture shows me in my 1948 Indians "World Champs" shirt. It doesn't fit anymore, so I need a new one in 2009.
