I would like to know why is it that McCain and Palin only talk about negativism directed toward Obama. nothing on issues, all they talk about is Obama and Rev. Wright and this Ayres person,. Have McCain and Palin lived squeaky clean lives? What about MCcains' first wife and how he cheated on her. How about Palins' racist remarks toward Obama when Clinton conceded defeat. The things all of a sudden McCain wants to fix now, his comments are always his record; he has been in Senate for 26+ years why we are in this dilemma now if he cared so much. And Palin who is a loose cannon she has had nothing constructive to say from the beginning only what she has been programmed to say , what can you say about a person who does not even know what news paper she reads. Why can’t they come up with some constructive ways of fixing the situation, whenever they Bush, Palin and McCain comes on my TV my wife and I will change the channel or turn the TV off? . McCain talks about his military career. About him being a POW. I am a retired veteran of 25 years of Military service and McCain took the same oath that I did and that’s one of the perils of war I am sorry People may not want to admit the real issue and that is “RACE” and I truly believe that the both of them McCain and Palin are racist. This election is by far the worst I have seen in my life time. Obama can’t use the bathroom without someone making an issue of it, What if he did know or was acquainted with Rev Wright or Ayres I don’t give a dam is McCain a saint oh, he is white so that make him right. What is MCcains’ and palins’ religion I don’t care. So what if Obama is a Muslim, I don’t give a dam, it’s what the man is going to do for the people of this country. If Obama we would not be having this discussion. Do we really know McCain, yes, I know that he was in the Navy, was a POW and have been in the senate for 26 years, and he is 72 years and spouts off gibberish. And Palin doesn’t know her audience at their rallies.

most of his supporters are old out of touch people with racist backgrounds, remember Mccain refusing to declare MLK's birthday as a national holiday, MLK was known world wide for his efforts against racism, and mccain voted against it, by saying he is a muslim, the repubs. are playing on the fears of the old and out of touch in america, you see the young voters, white ,black hispanic, asian, etc. dont buy in to that old racist way of thinking !

now come on hughley, do you REALLY believe that magically over night the "old racist way of thinging" (according to you racists) is going to change just because obama happens to be elected?

are you really that ignorant that you can't see that the "racist" way you keep talking about is brought upon themselves? do you read statistics? do you know what the black community has done to themselves?

the "old racist ways" you keep yammering on about will only CHANGE when the people who are screaming about racism change their ways entirely. that change comes from within, not on some guys presidency.

and then, ALL people (including YOU racists) will see that the only thing that counts is CHARACTER and not COLOR.

why don't you GET that?

No, we youngsters don't believe in that racist cr@p. We wish all the old people would shut up and mind their own business.

And we get sick of hearing about how we care about his religion. Shoot, I don't even have a religion! His has got to be better than mine. lol.

As young white voters, we get sick of hearing the white people voting Obama are trying to prove something.

We don't look at his color or religion as voters. So what do we do? The uneducated voters who don't research any policies at all follow the man who's promising they don't have to work their butts off, and is going to cut taxes for 90% of working families (impossible because only 45% of working families pay taxes, so really he's just giving money away ??). The educated ones are going through the policies and looking for the candidate with the best ideas.

And that's why young, educated voters ARE VOTING MCCAIN!!!!

dprin339 and katie I see you two make a perfect match, your ways of thinking is why things will never get any better in this country, actually I kind of feel sorry for both of you, learn the facts. We don't need another 4 years of Bush and thats what will happen with MCcain.

bigdady, bush is over & on his way out. mccain is not a carbon copy of bush at all! stop believing all the hype that obama is feeding you and look at the RECORD of accomplishment for yourself.

and please elaborate what you think will be "better" if obama becomes president? personally, i think this is STILL the greatest country on earth, even with our economic problems.............which we WILL get past.

so, what's going to be better? please be explicit in your answer & not just another obama brochure. the things you REALLY believe will be "better".

dprin - I wonder if your compliments to Katie would have been the same had she been for Obama?
And Katie, not very nice telling us old people to shut up and mind our own business! We are allowed to speak just as much as you are. And we have years of wisdom, so it wouldn't hurt you to listen to us once in a while!
C,mon Katie. Not ALL young educated voters are voting for McCain. Probably the opposite.

girlyscout, if she had been coming out for obama, she would be trying to fill our heads with the same crapppp he does...........and i would be BLASTING her for it.

i have heard relatively the same sentiments from other young people. they don't CARE about skin color at ALL! they don't CARE about someone's religion at ALL!

my kudos for her were mainly directed at the paragraph about "we don't look at color or religion....."

"learn the facts. We don't need another 4 years of Bush and thats what will happen with MCcain."

Because "the same 4 years blah 8 years blah blah blah" is a fact, isn't it bigdadyone? we really need to memorize that line to know the facts about obama.

Guess what, dprin? I DON'T CARE about skin color either! Whoever I vote for will be on issues and problem-solving. Other bloggers keep bringing up the color issue or the religion issue - NOT ME...!

adprin339,I see MCcain as a carbon copy of Bushes' policies, if he was indeed so concerned about the fate of this country and the people as he said he put country first he has been in the senate for over 26 years why has he not done something to try and prevent the current state this country is in, not get on his soap box and talk about what is wrong now. All we hear about is his record, what record? his military service, heck I served in the military for 25 years so what, what has he done for the people, all people. You ask what will be better if Obama is president, I don't know, I have issues with all politicians, it is who you believe or what you want to believe, they all lie to people they say what you want to hear and what they are going to do, in reality they will be lucky to ccomplish 1/10th of what they promise in four years, why must you keep degrading a person to win or try and put fear in people about a person you don't even know, people are so stupid they will believe what he says , Bush did that in 2004. I too believe this is a great country, my greatest concern at the moment is as I am sure the same as most people and that is the economy. You ask what will be better, the country in general without the cronyism in Washington as Mccain puts it for which he is a part of, simply put, a change is what we need, we cannot continue on this same track.have you listen to Obama? Have you listen to MCcain? I am sure that you have not listen to either you only see this Black man, not hearing what he is saying that he may have some good ideas for this country to turn

"why has he not done something to try and prevent the current state this country is in" he did, many times..........he and bush attempted to pass legislation to stop the mortgage mess in 2005 & 2006..........but it was blocked by clinton, dodd, frank, obama & the other liberal dems that think it's okay to break this country by giving mortgages to people who can't pay them.

cronyism is exactly what Obama has & is.......look at HIS thin record.........look way back in Chicago at all the back scratching & pocket lining he has done & still does today.

and as i expected, you threw in the "race card" for good measure, typical obamatron. i don't see COLOR in a person, i see CHARACTER. and the fact that YOU brought the "race" in makes YOU the racist.

actually, i have listened to BOTH candidates. obama is full of ideas (that are lies) and mccain is full of actual plans.

look at his track record, read things, articles, history, etc. don't just buy into what obama or mccain are selling, learn for yourself.

take a long look at mccain, he has never been part of that "good ole boy" network in our government, why do you think they call him the maverick?

You ask what will be better if Obama is president, I don't know, - that sadly is exactly what the majority of obamatrons answer.........I don't know, but i want "change"......without having a clue what change is actually being promised.

change to socialism, change to "black nationalism", change to cheating (acorn), and certainly change that will be left in your pocket after obama takes HIS share.

BIG BIZ doesn't pay tax - pass through to US and employees severely impacting our economy. Obama corporate tax forces a 10% price increase to all Americans & a clear competitive disadvantage to US in global sales.

Take Everything YOU Buy - Electricity, Gas, Food.....

Multiply that by 10%....

That is what the Obama plan will cost every American....

PLUS MORE - price increases, layoffs, exported jobs, reduced benefits, plant closures and unemployment.

GM alone will be taxed $125 BILLION under Obama (45%). That means under Obama - advantage to #1 TOYOTA. Obama TAX gives TOYOTA a $69 BILLION advantage over GM. McCain plan cuts corporate tax by 10% to create an equal playing field for GM vs. TOYOTA based on taxes.

AT&T will be taxed $53 Billion under Obama vs. $29 Billion under McCain. That means under Obama - advantage to NOKIA. Obama TAX allows Nokia to leapfrog AT&T in revenue after taxes by $4 Billion despite AT&T enjoying a 40% SALES ADVANTAGE. McCain plan would allow AT&T to retain a $32 Billion advantage over NOKIA.

GLOBAL COMPETITION / JOBS / BENEFITS / SECURITY / LOCAL COMPETITION

dprin, I see your up to your same old tricks, calling people racists when you in fact our one of the biggest racist on this blog.

You tried to tell me "why" I support Obama and accused me of being a racist and that I am only supporting him because he is black and I am black.

BIGDADYONE, I see you have read dprin just like everyone else who supports Obama. She will try to get you to say why you support Obama just so she can attack you and call you names afterwards. McCain has done nothing note worthy since he has been in the Senate for the past 26 years, graduated 5th from the bottom of his class in Navel School and was a prisoner of war for 5 years and started spilling his guts to the enemy after 4 days of being captured. Lost 3 debates to Obama, used poor judgement in selecting Palin.

Since 45% of working families pay taxes, what percent of that 45% will have their taxes cut?
