Did anyone see this ridiculous story. The guy from the store looked like a complete moron with his bluetooth ear piece in while on the air. Is he going to answer a call or something in the middle of the news. It's not jewelry, and it looks STUPID on your ear, or anywhere else but when you are driving your car!
On to the Phones For Kids. This schmuck goes on to say that kids as young as 8 are getting these phones. So I wait to see what kind of phones they are. Pay by the minute, or the ones that only call out to 5 or so numbers for emergencies, or whatever is simple but safe for kids.
What does he pull out? A Verizon Envy, a Blackberry Curve, and freaking Sidekick!!?? He made a comment "lots of the kids are wanting these today"! Wow...NO crap? There's a difference between a NEED & a WANT! No 8-15 year old NEEDS to have internet or Blu-Ray capabilities on their phone!! What the hell is wrong with our society and for people to think it's all right!??? Remember outside? Kick ball, tag, etc.
Why do you think kids are dying in car accidents? They're texting and watching Blu-Ray, etc.
And that stupid idiotic story about the girl who sent X amount of texts. That's an accomplishment? What did she gain by that, or her family gain? Besides looking like a typical out-of-touch, snot nose, brat! Wow. You have no verbal skills. Good luck dealing with people without texting.
All kids want to have stuff, but what happened to working for it, or earning it, and then respecting it when you got it? Parents just give stuff to there kids to pacify them and so they don't have to discipline them. It is a lazy society, kids don't respect adults or others like they use to. They just don't care, and neither do their parents.
Todays parent is more concerned with being cool and a 'friend' and not a parent, role model, teacher. Someone to show them how to be respectful, and polite, courteous, well behaved, and hard workers.
And lastly, quit taking your kids side all the time. You trust care givers enough to leave your kids with them, then you should trust them and their teachers over your kids, in most cases. Todays parents are brainwashed and believe every word out of their kids mouth. Take your own child out of it, who would you be more inclined to believe or trust, and 32 year old teacher or a 9 year old kid? Not saying the kids are always wrong, but most of the time, the teacher, or whoever, is never considered.
Parents, RAISE YOUR KIDS! If you become a great parent, when your children become teens-adults, you'll already be a BEST FRIEND. Because you had their best interest from the beginning. And as they mature, they'll know that!
Good luck!

Get ready for some Cavalier Wizardry, as we'll be sending home the "Soulja Boy" Deshawn Stevenson and Brendan Haywood. Do they know how stupid they look to the rest of the country? Sure their home team may like the enthusiasm, but all the stupid antics, and that dumb interview by Haywood?? Is he a comedian now? Give me a break.
I don't think LeBron is complaining or "whining" anymore than any of the other players, including Kobe and Manu Ginobli, Rasheed Wallace, etc. Probably less in my opinion. If they want to start up an Arena Basketball League, I'm sure the Cavs would welcome a contest with the Wizzers!
If I'm LeBron, I'm driving the lane hard, as much as I can. And if I'm Verajao and Ben Wallace, I'm posting up low, rebounding everything I can, and contesting every shot, hard!
The Cavs have done a good job, being up 3-1 and proving they won't be frazzled, intimidated, or pushed around. Now in Game 5, in Cleveland, I think it's time to send a message. Don't send in the scrubs to be goons and hack, and don't be flagrant unless it's recipricating. And most importantly...have eachothers back.
Let Deshawn and Haywood wave their hands and talk garbage with Soulja Boy from their couch.
And if you get a chance....video google "Jay-Z Blow the Whistle". Hilarious.....make sure it's the one showing clips of the series.

I was reading an article on Foxsports.com about Chris Henry, the WR from Cincy, and it states that he "had forfeited his career with the club"! Good for you Cincy! That's what more of the league, and team owners should do.
Why hasn't Pac-Man or Mike Vick forfeited their careers with the league?
Cut Kenny Wright, now. He is a journey man, back up, whom the Browns don't need, and they don't need any bad publicity right now!
I'm sitting at work, making way less than $100k, paying my bills, and gas, best I can, stretching pennies on the dollar. And these jerks break the law, get paid millions, and get 3rd chance, after 2nd chance and keep screwing it up!
"Hi Mr. Athlete! We would like for you to practice in the offseason, play a game every Sunday for about 16 weeks a year, about 3 hrs each. Just catch the ball, throw it, run it, intercept it, tackle, play football the best you know how. Live in any size house you'd like, have as many nice cars as you like, travel wherever you like. Secure your family's future, have your children's education paid for, etc. Just be sure to get your workouts in and be a decent human being. "
"If you do that for x amount of years, for our franchise, we'll pay you millions of dollars! Sound good? In fact, if you just sign your name and say yes, we'll give you $5mil right now, up front!"
Basically, exercise, keep in shape, and do the thing you love, and we'll pay you tons to wear our name!
WHO THE HELL WOULDN'T BE ABLE TO DO THIS??? ARE YOU THAT BIG OF A FREAKING IDIOT!!???? Give me your talent, and your job, and you can have my job, get fired, and live off the government!
Do you understand what opportunity is???

I'm about sick of these stories of , "Why did he have to go down like that? They didn't have a gun, just a knife/blade/machete (insert your own weapon)! He didn't deserve to get shot". Well does the officer deserved to get carved like a turkey? I mean who's the one causing trouble here?
Listen, if your child or relative was shot and killed committing a crime, and you are defending them because they didn't have a gun also, then shame on you. What was their intent with the weapon? Cut some cheese, make a sandwich? It is still a weapon, and it's probably a good thing they didn't have a gun, because there could be others killed.
You think a cop is going to drop his gun, and pull out a knife to make it fair? To hell with that. The criminal should just accept the fact that they "got caught" and surrender!
Have you ever seen someone that has been attacked by someone with a blade? They get "fileted" like a fish, it's grotesque.
QUIT BREAKING THE LAW "............."'!!!!!

The most wonderful feeling in the whole world, is coming home to my bright eyed smiling giggling baby boy, who runs over to hug my leg with open arms. And since having him in my life, I have no remorse or pity for the parents and adults who injure or kill babies and other young children. Especially their own parents.
How can you live with yourself, why should you even be given a chance at a second chance? After 10,15,25 years in prison, the baby or child won't have their life back, so why should these monsters be givem this right?
I feel that this man, and all parents or adults who commit crimes against children, should suffer the same outcome. To hell with them.
They cannot even put up a fight. And to think, especially with the baby Grace tragedy, that they are dying atthe hands of their own parent. The person who is their entire life, the one who is supposed to feed, clothe, bathe, play, and LOVE them. Their rock of security and comfort which lets them know all is well and safe.
Can you even fathom that deception, and the confusion, and the pain, and the suffering?
This makes me sick, and horribly sad!
May this innocent baby, and all innocent children who are victimized by those they love and trust, be blessed, and remembered.

You know, I have no problem with LeBron being a fan of other teams i.e. Yankees & Cowboys, but have a little respect, a little class, and a little modesty! Root for whoever you want, but don't root against the city you represent. You can at least root for both teams!
You never saw Braylon Edwards wearing a Pistons jersey to a Cavs game last year, did you? NO. Being from Michigan, he's probably a Piston fan & converted Cavs fan.
Same with K2, he was flaunting the Yanks cap also.
I think C.C. and Grady need to go to a couple of Cavs games this year and wear Spurs and Piston garb.
Can you imagine if any Cleveland sports figure wore Steelers attire? Yankees gear is the 2nd worst, and we have the best Cavalier player, and the best Browns player donnig their logos!
How do they expect Cleveland and the fans to support them, when they don't support Cleveland????
That's just not right.

Definition of Insanity: Doing the same thing and expecting different results.
Yeah, let's just hire and fire, every 2-3 years. That makes sense. And why fire Savage? He's brought in the players we need! Name me one player besides K2, Sean Jones, Chaun Thompson, Pontbriand, and Andre Davis that has been drafted by the Browns since their return and is still with the team, or any team!!? 6 years of draft picks (99-04), and those are the only names that remain on the team!? Savages drafts have produced some great players, and good potential. So maybe his first draft in '05 is lacking...Braylon (but how can you not pick him?), Brodney Pool (1st yr as starter), and the rest are gone, except McMillan on the P. Squad.
The club needs stability in the front office and coaching staff. You keep shuffling personnel, and you lose the players trust in the organization. You shuffle players, and you don't question it, you move on. Does anyone have a real problem with losing Frye? Was he really taking this team anywhere, anywhere different than DA will? NO. So you cut your losses, and move on. Take value when you can get it. This time next year, Frye would have been cut, and no 6th Rd pick would have been received.
Now I'm not expecting anything to turn around this year, but I'm not calling for Savage's head, nor Romeo's (just yet). Romeo needs to get a hold on the players and start managing his team, not just coaching. Does he have any passion at all?
Players need structure in the organization, and if there's no structure there, how can we expect to have a solid product on the field?
Good Luck Browns!
But the city and it's fans deserve more, deserve better!

Brady Quinn has been annointed. Sure it was in garbage time, 3rd team defense of the Lions, and the 3rd team offense for the Browns, but he did what he should have done, and in a matter-of-fact fashion. Quinn marched the Browns down for 2 TD's, something that Frye and Anderson failed to do yet this preseason. Hell, Ken Dorsey even got them close enough and they were able to run it in!
Main thing I like about Quinn, he's no b.s., he's a leader, he controls the game. Did you see him barking out calls, getting players set, people believe in him.
If you want to win games, you need to score Touchdowns! Brady is the future of the team, I am excited as hell to watch him play more, and think he'll be the QB by week 6. What better way to make your debut than against a crap Dolphins team whose fans wish they drafted Quinn instead of Ted Ginn Jr.
Charlie and DA are formidable backups. It's too bad, but why else did we get Brady? I don't really care for the way Charlie carries himself, or his country bumpkin, wigger persona. He's not a leader.
DA is a work in progress, he could be very good, maybe not every game starter, but a no worry sub for your starter.
Season Opener-Browns QB's should be Derek Anderson, Ken Dorsey, and Brady Quinn. Frye is a country bumpkin wigger with no leadership skills. Buh-Bye! Trade him for a 5th Rd pick.
I'm buying the orange Brady Quinn full face t-shirt tomorrow! haha! j/K!
Buckle in Browns fans, it's time to take off!
OTHERS:
I thought Braylon looked pretty sharp tonight. Made some nice catches.
Wimbley is a monster.
Right now, I'd take Barclay over Harrison.
The line is still looking much better than last year.
Romeo needs to take his job, the team, the fans, and the season seriously. None of this coin flip junk, I never said Brady would get a lot of PT, crap!
GO BROWNS!

How true is this email I recently received! Good for this school!
Where are the rest of our schools??
>
>
This is hilarious - no wonder some people were offended! This is the
message that the Pacific Palisades High School (California) staff
voted unanimously to record on their school telephone answering
machine. This is the actual answering machine message for the school.
This came about because they implemented a policy requiring students
and parents to be responsible for their children's absences and
missing homework. The school and teachers are being sued by parents
who want their children's failing grades changed to passing grades -
even though those children were absent 15-30 times during the semester
and did not complete enough schoolwork to pass their classes.
The outgoing message: "Hello! You have reached the automated answering
service of your school. In order to assist you in connecting to the
right staff member, please listen to all the options before making a
selection:
To lie about why your child is absent - Press 1
To make excuses for why your child did not do his work- Press 2
To complain about what we do - Press 3
To swear at staff members - Press 4
To ask why you didn't get information that was already enclosed in
your newsletter and several flyers mailed to you - Press 5
If you want us to raise your child - Press 6
If you want to reach out and touch, slap or hit someone -Press 7
To request another teacher, for the third time this year -Press 8
To complain about bus transportation - Press 9
To complain about school lunches - Press 0
If you realize this is the real world and your child must be
accountable and responsible for his/her own behavior, class work,
homework and that it's not the teachers' fault for your child's lack
of effort: Hang up and have a nice day!
If you want this in Spanish, you must be in the wrong country.

This is such a tragic event and I cannot fathom how this "waste of a human being" could carry out such a horrific task. How can you take the life of the mother of your child and soon-to-be 2nd child, as well as the baby she's carrying?? How do you make up a story of her having a seizure, and dying as soon as you arrived, stating her eyes rolled back in her head, and you panicked-and then expect it to be credible?? You are supposedly a trained professional, and 911 would have been appropriate, but this isn't the true story, anyway!
Again, I ask, WHERE THE HELL IS JESSE JACKSON & AL SHARPTON. Way to stand up for what's right! Way to show your true colors, you bigot racists! WHERE ARE YOU?! And I commend the NAACP for putting their foot in their mouth criticizing how this "waste of life" was being looked at as a 'suspect' and not an 'acquaintance'!~This is why racism thrives, and will never die. These BS leaders of nothing, preaching garbage.
This "piece of crap" deserves everything he gets, and deserves, I REPEAT, DESERVES THE DEATH PENALTY! He adds nothing to society, has disgraced his department, his city, and his state!
And lastly, GOD BLESS all who showed their support during this time. Tremendous job and hats off to the Canton Police department for the way the handle this case, and continue to do so. What a tremendous display of love, respect, and hope Stark County, and the cities of Canton, N. Canton, Green, Uniontown, Massillon, Jackson, and surrounding cities showed to the family of Blake, Chloe, & Jessie Davis.
May Justice be served, and may Jessie and Chloe rest in peace.

So where are all you Detroit pushers now? jclguru, rmarkle....others? Rise UP!! What have you got to say for yourselves now you pessimist, fair weather, band wagon fans???? Go Detroit, go Detroit...
INSTANT CLASSIC! LeBron just made all the nay-sayers eat there words last night, proving that he in fact is a SUPERSTAR! This game was the ultimate display of this manchilds capabilities, and they will continue. This playoff series is the turning point of his career, as he has just entered the next level, at the young age of 22!!??
He is the best player in the NBA! He was Jordanesque! He himself beat the Pistons last night. We need to make ourselves aware that we are seeing greatness right here in Cleveland, from our own backyard in Akron, OH. Remember this game, 20 years from now, Jordan will still be one of the best ever, but LeBron will reign as King, and the NBA will be in search of "The Next LeBron"!!
i know the series is not over, and it will be very bleak if there is a game 7, but I am proud of my team, and so should the city of Cleveland, win or lose this series! The future is VERY BRIGHT with LeBron, Boobie Gibson, Andy, Sasha...
WE ARE ALL WITNESSES!
DON'T FORGET IT!!!!

Please look at the following links and read at your discretian. It just shows how screwed up our world still is, and most likely always will be. It's amazing what will be covered by the news and the media, and what will not.
Again a very sensitive issue, but it needs to be mentioned. Why are stories like this hidden, and never addressed, passed up for stories regarding Paris Hilton going to jail, and other mindless garbage news. Why are these stories not backed by powerful political and religious leaders?

So LeBron drives the lane, instead of going for the tie to go to overtime, he kicks it out to a WIDE OPEN Donyell Marshal who shoots a 3 pointer, and misses, and the Cavs lose game one.
Some things to think about:
Early on, Larry Hughes is at the foul line. He sinks his first shot that gets waived off because the substitution buzzer sounded. He then retakes the first shot and misses, but hits the 2nd. Now, if he had missed the shot, I can see the ref being considerate. BUT HE MADE IT! C'MON! And it's still waived off??? STUPID CALL REF! ~ If this bucket isn't waived off, the Cavs are hypothetically down 78-77 instead, and LeBron drives the lane for the win and not the tie.
LeBron could have taken the shot in the lane, but why would he attempt that since he was getting doubled and tripled every previous attempt, with no legitimate shot, nor foul called. If he drives and gets tangled up with no shot or misses, the media and fans are on his case for not passing to a wide open Donyell. Everyone would say he should have known Marshall was wide open, could have won the game, but instead drove the lane hoping for different results. There's no guarantee he would have made a shot inside to tie. Would people find comfort more with a LeBron miss more than Marshall's?
Previous to this shot to win, the ball was kicked out to Z near the top of the key, a shot he had been hitting all night, and he misses the bucket that would have tied. Why isn't anyone complaining about that? If Donyell Marshal hits the 3pt shot and the Cavs win, everyone is happy, and LeBron is a genius. But it didn't, so now their has to be someone to blame.
I agree with the play. Go for the win! The cavs were in control the whole game, and won the rebounding battle, but came up a little short. This is game 1 of 7, quit the negativity!
Go DETROIT? You make me sick, those of you spouting that off! What the heck is wrong with you? Did you expect a 4 game sweep of the Pistons? The Cavs were down 2-0 last year, and won 3 in a row to force a game 7. This years team is better and they proved it last night. Someone has to win, and someone has to lose, so be realistic, and quit being fair weather fans. If you are a legitimate Detroit fan, fine, but don't come on here trying to incite others and be an idiot !
GO CAVS! They look tough, they'll push this series to the brink, mark my word!

Congrats to the 8 finalist in the Beautiful Baby contest. There were a lot of cute babies! I'm sure it was very hard to choose. Maybe next year there can be more finalists, or a winner for each age bracket.
I know I'm biased, but my little man in the tub for bath time was robbed!!!!! :)
Good luck to all the babies!

I am amazed at all the Browns bashing, Quinn bashing, Savage bashing, etc. Where are the true Browns fans? The ones who bleed orange and brown? I know I've seen a few of you, but the majority are boo birds, with their go steelers, go ravens, well why don't you get out of town and move to Baltimore, or Pittsburgh, or New England!
This draft was brilliant for a number of reasons.
1) What do people always complain about, year in and year out? The line! And we did the right thing in taking Joe Thomas! He will anchor our line for many years. Most solid choice on the board after CJ was taken.
2.) We get a top 5 player in Brady Quinn at number 22!? Granted, i didn't want him at 3, but at 22...hell yes! For a 2nd Rd pick, and next years 1st Rd. Again, Quinn is a top 5 player in this years draft. He fell because Cleveland needed a top O-lineman before a top QB (and we have CF, and AD), Minnesota went with AP over Quinn already having Tavaris Jackson at QB, and Miami lost it's marbles and passed with no clear cut QB, at all. WE GOT LUCKY, because after that...there were no teams in need of a QB, period. Quinn should have gone 9, and 22 does not reflect his talent or potential or stats. He started 4 years at ND, played for Charlie Weiss in a pro-style offense, and the guy is smart, a good decision maker. Not to mention the kid is ripped. Also, he is a steal for what he will earn compared to Russell who will soon become an overpaid Lineman with a big arm!
~So what we gave up next years Rd1, pretend we used it to take Quinn next year? So what if it is a top 10 pick in '08, Quinn was rated top 5 this year!
WE GOT 2 of the TOP 5!! Would those of you complaining prefer Brohm or Henne next year? I wouldn't! Running backs, yes. But there will be quality falling into the 2nd Rd. Brady Quinn will prove that he was well worth next years 1st Rd.
3.) CB-Eric Wright taken in the 2nd Rd. Granted we had to trade up, but we got 2 first rounders and a second rounder. PLUS, if Eric Wright keeps his nose clean, he has top 15 talent and would have gone possibly before Revis and Leon Hall. So in the end, the Browns have potentiall 3 players all with first rd talent, 3 of the top 20 players in the 2007 draft. Savage said that the day 2 was weaker in talent, and had other players fell lower, he would have possibly made moves for them as well.
SO QUIT CRYING, you fair weather fans! True Browns fans have already embraced the players drafted. They are BROWNS, they play for us, and our city! They are on our side!
Excellent draft! Savage is showing his worth, and we are well on our way!
To all those jumping off the wagon, good riddance! You were never a fan in the first place.
Go ahead and debate this, bring it on. I'm sure that the true fans will step in also, but I welcome any argument!
GO BROWNS!
